Over the weekend, the Kenyan community in Canberra came together for a moving vigil at the Kenya High Commission Chancery to honour the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, Kenya’s former Prime Minister and one of the most influential voices in the country’s political history.
Organised by the Kenyans in Canberra Association (KICA) in collaboration with the Kenya High Commission, the event drew members of the diplomatic corps, community leaders, and Kenyans living in the Australian capital to pay tribute to a man whose life’s work embodied resilience, courage, and a relentless pursuit of justice.
The evening was marked by heartfelt prayers, reflections, and candlelight tributes that filled the High Commission grounds with emotion and unity.
