On March 15, 2025, the Waridi Women’s Group hosted a powerful International Women’s Day celebration, bringing together Kenyan women in Queensland for a day of empowerment, resilience, and community support.
Waridi, a new initiative dedicated to uplifting women from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, symbolizes both beauty and strength—just like the rose it is named after. The event featured engaging discussions on personal growth, overcoming challenges, and building a supportive network.
